Senate committees resume holdouts bill debate
The Budget and Economy committees of the Senate resume talks on the holdouts bill.
A meeting of the committees of Budget and Economy of the Senate were resuming talks on the government-sponsored holdouts bill that aims at settling the debt dispute with so called “vulture funds,” a small group of creditors that refused to enter Argentina’s restructurings in 2005 and 2010 and sued the country over its defaulted bonds.
The project was passed by the Lower House earlier this week. Yesterday, provincial governors attended the debate at the Senate committees giving major support to the initiative.
