Recovering from an ankle fracture, President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner continues to work while resting from official events in the Olivos presidential residency. She will meet with Economy Minister Axel Kicillof today, following meetings with Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich and Legal and Technical Secretary Carlos Zannini yesterday.
Ms. Kirchner came back to Buenos Aires yesterday, after spending the New Year holiday in Santa Cruz with her family. Following the Presidential Medical Unit advise, she will continue to rest in Olivos until Monday when she is expected to resume official events.
The head of state broke her ankle in an accident at home, in the southern city of Río Gallegos where she was spending her Christmas break, which has forced her to call off a trip to the Vatican and reschedule all official events
