CFK to analyze vulture case in Santa Cruz during weekend
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner waves during the UNASUR-BRIC meeting in Brasilia on July 16, 2014.
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner travelled today to Santa Cruz province, where she will stay for the weekend and analyze Argentine New York delegation vulture case briefings.
The Argentine delegation in New York returned today to the country after two meetings with appointed mediator Daniel Pollack, where no resolution was reached.
Days away the July 30 deadline for Judge Thomas Griesa’s ruling over the Argentine defaulted bonds case to become effective, the President will analyze the delegations reports of these last meetings.
Ms Kirchner left Buenos Aires at 1 pm in the Tango 01 presidential plane to Río Gallegos. She will also visit her son Máximo Kirchner and her niece Néstor Iván in the Patagonian province, according to an official press release.
During a conference call today with Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich, CFK insisted on criticizing holdouts for “not investing a single peso in the country.”
“Vulture funds did not invest in the country. Not a single peso. And they pretend to take away millions of dollars from us,” she said.
