Here are our start of the week Venezuela news briefs as well as the prices the desk is making in Venezuela and PDVSA bonds.
The market is still in a wait and see mode -- waiting for word from euroclear, the paying agent or accounts that the PDVSA 2020 amortization that Venezuela said it paid on Friday shows up. So far, only the tiny $41 million PDVSA 37 coupon has shown up of the now $800 million in coupons owed -- now including the unpaid interest on the PDVSA 2020 (they were only paying the $842 million amortization) and also the $90 million in interest on the Goldman Sachs PDVSA 6% of 2022 (which was due on October 28). The other coupons at various stages in the 30 day tolling period are Electricidad de Caracas, PDVSA 27, Venezuela 19, Venezuela 24, Venezuela 25, and Venezuela 26.
