The setup of a fully autonomous Financial Information Center with a shared management by the government and private institutions would allow tackling the current economic recession in Venezuela, as free access to data would facilitate decision-making, and the use and allocation of resources required to face contingencies.

This was the proposal of the Venezuelan Federation of Public Accountants Associations, represented by its president, Diego Mendoza, who explained that said center would be a transparent system to assess the evolution of the economy and to achieve better pricing.

According to Mendoza, the center would help reducing red tape for administrative actions, which would put Venezuela at the same level of its counterparts in economic blocs. He highlighted that in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, and Paraguay, for instance, it takes up to 45 days to start a business with Venezuela, whereas a Venezuelan would require up to 180 days to set up in a business.
