The governor of Buenos Aires province, Daniel Scioli, expressed his optimism over Argentina’s negotiations with holdout hedge funds saying they “will be alright”. He also said he was confident about the country’s future: “A big development phase is coming in Argentina”.
“The debate the President [Cristina Fernández de Kirchner] is proposing is a turning point, from Argentina to the world,” the governor stated during a visit to Mar del Plata coastal city.
Scioli arrived in Mar del Plata to inaugurate a new exhibit at the City’s Contemporary Art Museum (MAR). Asked by reporters about the country’s situation in its legal battle against the so-called vulture funds, the governor hoped “rationality and good sense prevail” in the work of the court-appointed mediator Daniel Pollack and the judge Thomas Griesa.
“A big development phase is coming in Argentina, and I trust everything will be alright,” he said
