Caputo resumes debt talks with 'vultures'

Finance Secretary Luis Caputo ratified Argentina will be presenting a debt offer to hedge funds “between today and tomorrow” as meetings between representatives of the country and so called “vulture” funds continued in New York City.

Caputo said the government’s remained firm in its decision to officially make an offer to bondholders this week in order to settle the legal dispute.

“We will introduce the proposal between today and tomorrow," Caputo told Télam.

On Wednesday, Caputo said that there were “different ambitions” involved in the NY talks because there were “many funds, different credits” that have to be addressed, although he recognized some “progress” has been made since the beginning of negotiations this week.

“It is not easy to agree on one single offer that juggles everything,” the official said
