US Special Master Pollack: ‘No agreement yet’ with vulture funds
US Special Master Daniel Pollack.
Special Master Daniel Pollack, the person appointed by US Judge Thomas Griesa to mediate the negotiations between Argentina and the so called vulture funds, affirmed today that “no agreement has been achieved yet.”
“The two parts agreed to continue with the talks confidentially, in order to facilitate a possible solution in the future”, Pollack unveiled, while adding he will make no more statements on the matter.
Earlier today, Economy minister Axel Kicillof held a press conference at the UN building in New York, where he assured he did not met personally with representatives of the vulture funds.
On Monday, Griesa appointed Daniel Pollack, a prominent New York financial trial lawyer, as “special master” to assist in possible talks between Argentina and the holdouts, seemingly taking heed of President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner’s speech last week emphasizing the country’s willingness to meet obligations with 100 percent of creditors.
