Clearstream backed down and operates again with Argentine bonds

Clearstream agency, in charge of paying the bonds of the Argentine debt, backed down from its decision of suspending operations and informed that it will continue with them.


The previous announcement had been made following the Argentine decision to suspend Citibank ´s operations in the local money market.

Clearstream is in charge of the payments related to part of the US$ 163 million made by the Government and resumed its commitment to cancel them.

"Clearstream Banking is now able to confirm that the domestic and foreign payments will be immediately made effective and reimbursed to all the Argentine bonds, except those of the Affected Values”, as  informed through a communiqué.
