Macri announces six-member economic cabinet
Without mentioning any first names, elected president of Argentina Mauricio Macri announced he will be setting a Revenue and Finance Ministry and appointing six other ministers that will be shaping up an economic cabinet.
“This week we will actively work to define the economic cabinet, there will be one minister of revenue and finances and six other ministers who will be contacting (the current government) and learn what the situation is. Argentina does not have a credible information system, we have to learn what the real situation in finances is, the situation in the Central Bank,” Macri said today in a press conference.
Macri asked media for “patience” during the upcoming days, saying his team will have to meet with the members of the outgoing administration “to learn what the situation of public accounts is.”
