FinMin confident loan installment will be released
Greek Finance Minister Yannis Stournaras on Friday expressed his confidence that a new tranche of bailout aid would be dispursed by the country's partners and creditors.
"There is no reason to worry,” Stournaras told reporters following a meeting with Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, adding that «the [tranche] will be released."
Regarding the Greek debt’s sustainability the Finance Minister noted that the issue was being discussed among the country's partners and lenders.
A political statement regarding Greece was expected at a Eurogroup meeting scheduled to take place on Monday, Stournaras said.
Meanwhile, a number of European officials have said that Greece should not expect a decision on the next loan installment at Monday's meeting. |
