AFIP national tax bureau has received from France a list of 3.900 Argentine nationals or residents with accounts in HSBC Bank in Switzerland and now seeks to demand payment for undeclared money.
The names –delivered in an encripted CD- included 3,000 Argentine residents and 900 nationals who declared to be living abroad when they opened the bank accounts, AFIP head Ricardo Echegaray explained in a press conference.
“This is a unique opportunity to normalize the situation (of those listed),” Echegaray said and explained that AFIP will ask those in the list to remedy the situation and pay all unpaid taxes.
