Gov't hails Boden 2020 issuance: 'A very important step'

Cabinet Chief Aníbal Fernández praised the sale of a new dollar-denominated bond which allowed the country to raise US$669.26 million, saying it represented “a very important step” following the payment of the Boden 2015.

“With the Bonar 2020 a very important step was made,” the head of ministers said today during his daily talk with reporters at the Pink House, pointing out the government collected “more than what was expected.”

The also Victory Front (FpV) candidate for Buenos Aires province governor explained the government sought to get US$500 million with the Bonar 2020.

“It is a very important step; it is an excellent bond with an excellent rate.”
