Agro industrial exporters pledge to sell goods for 5.7 billion dollars

According to data provided by Agricultural Minister Carlos Casamiquela, there are 23 million tons of soy left to sell.

Following negotiations with government representatives, business leaders in the grains and oils sectors have promised to export goods worth 5.7 billion dollars during the final quarter of 2014, which would ease falling levels of the American currency in the Central Bank.

The Argentine Republic Oils Industrial Camera (CIARA) and the Grains Exporters Camera (CEC) said the last meeting with the government was held on Monday, with Economy Ministry and Central Bank officials.

According to data provided by Agricultural Minister Carlos Casamiquela, there are 23 million tons of soy left to sell.
